Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Manager
Level: Senior Management
Reports to: Program Lead
Location: On-site (Abuja)
Take charge of the overall internal coordination of M&E activities for all projects, while providing leadership in the design and implementation of the organizational M&E systems.
· Ensure that projectized M&E plans are modified and updated as improved information becomes available (updating indicators, baseline and targets upon the receipt of information from technical studies and in-take surveys)
· Work closely with the project implementation team to ensure implementation is in tune with the predetermined M&E framework, and results are consistent with the objectives of the project.
· Establish a feedback mechanism to engage with project beneficiaries, communities, and stakeholders, incorporating their insights into project improvement
· Lead and provide technical inputs to improve and facilitate the new business development to ensure alignment with clients’ M&E requirements.
· Coordinate and manage all monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tasks and deliverables for Sydani’s old and new projects.
· Ensure project team, management team and donors are receiving adequate and timely project progress updates
· Propose and reinforce strategies to increase data use and demand amongst Senior Programme teams
· Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, biannual & annual programmatic reports
· Manage and ensure accuracy and quality of monitoring data reported to project database, DHIS2 and facility HMIS tool.
· Manage all incoming data to ensure accuracy and adherence to set quality standards before they are transmitted into database
· Support M&E database manager/administrator in maintaining the databases and oversee routine maintenance as needed to ensure data integrity and fast access to data and/or information
· Mentor and supervise the M&E teams supporting the execution of their M&E responsibilities (providing monitoring and evaluation training of staff and programme implementers).
· Streamline data collection and analysis procedures to ensure
· Review data for inconsistencies or abnormalities that could skew analytical results
· Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing data collection and management systems and propose solutions to ensure high quality data.
· Responsible for developing training modules/guides for internal staff and fellows.
· Participating in the Sydani problem-solving, ideation, and capacity-building sessions including new staff onboarding, SFP, and staff mentoring program.
· Conduct impact assessments to evaluate the long-term effects of the project on landscapes, livelihoods, and community well-being
· Any other duties that are consistent with M&E roles that may be assigned by the supervisor.
