Role description 

We are looking to employ an HR assistant with outstanding administrative and communication skills. The HR assistant is expected to be a conceptual thinker with superb organizational and time management skills. You must be reliable and should accurately follow instructions with the ability to multitask and acclimatize in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Responsibilities 

  1. Support all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests. 
  2. Maintain digital and electronic records of employees. 
  3. Serve as point of contact with benefit vendors and administrators. 
  4. Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates and performing reference checks. 
  5. Maintain calendars of the HR management team. 
  6. Oversee the completion of compensation and benefit documentation. 
  7. Assist with performance management procedures. 
  8. Schedule meetings, HR events and maintain agendas  
  9. Coordinating assessment and interviews for prospective candidates
  10. Coordinate training sessions and seminars. 
  11. Assisting in the orientation exercise and update records of new staff. 
  12. Produce and submit reports on general HR activity. 
  13. Complete termination paperwork and documentation. 

 

HR Assistant Requirements: 

  1. Bachelor's degree in human resources or related (essential). 
  2. 1 year of experience as an HR assistant (essential). 
  3. Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations. 
  4. Effective HR administration and people management skills. 
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  6. Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines. 
  7. Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools. 
  8. Fantastic organizational and time management skills. 
  9. Meticulous attention to detail. 
  10. Ability to accurately follow instructions.
